Sit together in heavenly places

John 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That we are made to sit WITH him in heavenly places, is a continuation of that we died WITH him in repentance, was buried WITH him in baptism, and resurrected WITH him by receiving the Holy Ghost. They that have died with him, buried with him, and resurrected with him, shall be made to sit also with him. And finally they that sit with him, shall also reign with him. If you want to sit with him, you must first die, be buried and be raised with him. If you want to reign with him, you must first sit with him. It’s a process that starts with taking up our cross, and ends with reigning with him.

But what does it mean to sit with him?

1) That it's done. Jesus sat down to represent the job is done. It is finished. That we are sat with him, means there is nothing more for us to do. He did it for us.

2) He has sat down to rest. And that we are sat with him, means we have come into his rest.

3) Jesus sat down at the right hand of God, on his throne to represent that he has all POWER. That we sit with him, means that we have received his power. You shall receive POWER after the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

4) Jesus sat down at the throne to represent he has won the victory. That we are sat with him, means that we have been partakers of his victory. We are MORE than conquers through HIM....

5) The King sat down at his throne to receive glory and praise. That we are sat with him, means that we have been given part of his glory. Jesus said: Now glorify  THEM with the glory I had.....

Turning Mara into Elim

Ex 15:23And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet

After three days of walking under a burning hot sun, with hot sand under their feet, and without drinking for three days, they were at the edge of dying. Three days is the maximum of what you can go without water. Elim, the place of blessing was waiting around the corner, but in order to reach it, they needed water here at Mara. Mara means bitterness. Then the Lord showed him a tree…

This tree was an example of the tree at Calvary. The tree of Calvary, has the ability to make bitter waters sweet. If you take your bitter experiences to the cross, and allow Jesus to turn them around, you will be able to go to the next level, where the blessings is waiting for you.
But too many people miss the opportunity and blessings of Elim because they get stuck in the bitterness of Mara.

We are the salt of the earth

2 King 2:19And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

The city looked pleasant, but the water was naught… That describes the situation of the people in the world today. It seems so good and nice from a distance, but reality is that the waters is bitter, and causes death and barrenness. Many lives seems successful and pleasant on the outside, but the closer you look, you will find the bitterness of sin in their lives.
The prophet pours salt into the water and it becomes sweet.

Jesus tells us that we are the salt of the earth. We, the church are suppose to sweeten the bitter waters of the world around us. But if the salt looses its power, Jesus said, then what then shall it be salted with? There is nothing left but bitter waters. Lets us maintain the power, and be the salt of this world Jesus called us to be.

Come and see

John 1:45Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Nathanael asks the question: Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Nazareth was the place of a big Roman garnison. The roman army and soldiers which the jews hated. The very symbol of their hurt and pain. The very symbol of their sufferings and shame. Only by the mention of the name Nazareth, reminded them of this pain and shame. WHat possible good can come out of something so shameful, and painful? The response was, come and see.
We may ask ourselves the same question today. WHat possible good can come out of my painful and hurtful experiences and situations? The bibel states EVERYTHING works together for the GOOD to them that love him. The only way to find out how it can, and how God can turn your pain into something good, is to come and see. Come to me, Jesus says, all that are weary and burdened…. Come to Jesus, and you wil find as Nathanael, something good will come out of your pain.

My name is graven into his hands

Is 49:16Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

When I was around ten years old, a new girl moved to our town, and started in our class. All the boys were in love with her, and I was no exception. One day, while playing soccer in the gym class, she stopped by me, and showed me the palm of her hand. There my name was clearly written. My heart almost came out of my chest. She was in love with ME!!! After a while though, my name faded away, as well as her love for me.
It is not that way with God. My name is GRAVEN in the palm of his hand, and will never fade away. Neither will his love for me. It has been graven into his hands by two nails, and will always remind him of his love for me and you!!!

What entertains you?

Psalm 101:3I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

In my teens, I belonged to a church, where the youth often would rent a movie, and watch together for fellowship. Just as often my conscious would make me feel bad, and I prayed for direction about this. My prayer was simply for God to show me what I could watch and what not to watch. His gentle answer to me was as shocking and devastating to me as it could be, and explained why I felt so bad. He said; “Can you be entertained by the things I had to suffer and die for? Can you eat chips, drink coke, and laugh about the very things I went to Calvary for?”
Lord, help me to hate what you hate, and Love what you love. Protect mine heart from evil things Lord.

No evil things before mine eyes

Psalm 101:3I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

When I was a kid, I had the bad habit of eating snow. My mother always taught met hat eating snow would make me sick, but still she was not able to make me stop. One day at school, my teacher showed us all the microbiological life in the snow through a microscope. All the nasty looking creatures crawling around in the snow made me stop eating snow from that day on.
If it were possible to run what people look at on their TV, phone and computer through a spiritual microscope, many would be shocked. A lot of nasty looking demons and Spirits are attacking our minds and Spirits through what we see and allow being set before our eyes. Let us make up our minds today: I will put no evil things before mine eyes.
