King 7:7Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of
good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some
mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the
king's household.
Some
years ago I build my first house. As I had finished the roof, I was looking at
the house and feeling very proud and good about myself. God asked me: Are you
satisfied now Gøran? Right there and then I felt the Holy Ghost coming upon me.
I said; how could I be satisfied when I have family that is not saved? How can
I be satisfied when we have so few churches in Norway? As tears was flowing
down my face as I continued, how could I be satisfied when there is so little
unity, when we have so few ministers. That Saturday evening God gave this
message I preached the next day in church: Blessings with an aftertaste. Taking
the text from the story of the four leapers outside of Samaria. After finding
all of this food and clothes, they felt bad. As much as they were thankful to
God for the blessing, they felt bad enjoying it as long as it was a city
starving right there. They felt the need of sharing the good news.
Are
you only enjoying your salvation, your peace, and your joy, without feeling the
need to share it? There’s a world starving for what we have. Let us share it. Let
us bring them the good news.
