Luk 6:46"Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do
what I say?
I have heard it so many times. I have received Jesus
as Lord in my life. Really?? Jesus as Lord means he is the one deciding. He is
the one in charge. Don’t call Jesus your Lord if you are not willing to do what
he says.
A friend of mine posted this on facebook: “It appears the earliest confession of the New Testament
church was Jesus Christ is Lord, not Jesus is Savior? Jesus Christ is called
specifically Savior 16 times in the New Testament and Lord more than 450
times!”
It seems what people today wants is
Jesus as savior and not as Lord. But you cannot separate the two:
Rom 10:9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10for with the heart a
person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation.
If you want salvation, you must confess,
and make him your Lord !!!
