Judg 7:19 So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.
In an instant the 100 000 men strong army was surrounded by light. All they could see was the light and behind it, it was darkness. They thought that behind the torches it was a huge army, but it was only those holding the lights. That day 300 men won over 100 000 men.
The camp was asleep and woke up by the sound of the trumpet and this light. In the same way this world is sleeping and in darkness. The word says that those that sat in darkness saw a GREAT light. Jesus was that light, and his body was the pitcher. Not until he was so close to the enemy, he broke his body (the pitcher) and it was an explosion of light.
2 Cor 2:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We are now like Jesus this vessel with a glorious light. We are walking among a people sleeping in darkness with this light inside of us. What is needed to wake them up? It needs light and sound!! Just like that day, they shone the light and blew the trumpet. Just like the day of Pentecost, there was a SOUND from heaven, and tongues of fire. What will happen if the church BREAKS their vessels and let the light on the inside shine forth? If we will make a SOUND and not be silent, it will bring a great revival. Repentance and holiness have always gone before revival. It’s the breaking process. The forerunner of Jesus was John the Baptist, and he preached: REPENT. The movement paving the way for the Pentecostal revival in the beginning of the 1900´s was the Holiness movement.
Let us repent, and seek holiness. That breaks the vessel. And light will again shine to bring revival and victory over our enemies.
