The Evil day

Eph 6:13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

What is the Evil day? The evil day is when you loose a loved one. The evil day is when you loose your job. The evil day is when you find out that people are talking bad about you behind your back. The evil day is when your doctor tells you that you have a deadly disease. The evil day is when you feel everything is coming against you.

The Bible tells us to put on the armor of God so we are prepared for the evil day. SO that we can “withstand” in the evil day.

Websters definition of withstanding is: “to not be harmed or affected by (something)” So the goal is not to be harmed or affected by the things coming against us on the evil day. And when we have done all, and still are standing, we can say together with Paul: If God be for me, who can be against me
