Let God finish what he started

Phil 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

God never start something he is not intending to finish. If God started something in you, he will also finish it. He doesn’t start it, and then leave to us to finish. Too many times we thank God for the start, and say: I can take it from here. That’s why we get ourselves into problems. Why are we so often tired, weary and exhausted? Because we do the work we were not intended to do. We carry burdens we were not meant to carry. We fight battles we were not meant to fight. Paul writes here that HE will perform it. That is if we let him. Let God finish the work he started in you. Don’t be like the Galatian church. Paul said: You who started in the Spirit, will you now end it in the flesh? Allow God to finish what he started.

A church with a lot of people performance is very often a church with very little God performance. We substitute God performance with hi tech, sound and multimedia systems, big nice choirs, programs and streamlines services filled with entertainment.
My encouragement to you today is this: Stop performing, and let God do his work in you. Let HIM finish what he started, and you will find that he always saves the best for last
