Ex 10:10 Pharaoh said, “The Lord be with you—if I let you go, along with your women and children! Clearly you are bent on evil. 11No! Have only the men go and worship the Lord, since that’s what you have been asking for.” Then Moses and Aaron were driven out of Pharaoh’s presence.
When Pharaoh realized he could not stop them from leaving far away to worship, his next move was: Ok, as long as you don’t bring your children. You can go, as long as you give me the children. He knew that if he only got the children, he would have the next generation. We see the tragic result of letting the children stay home through out Norway today. Churches with old people serving God, but the children are gone. The youth are gone. The Devil is ok with you serving God as long as you give him the children.
In Judges 2:10 we read that after Joshua, a generation grew up that didn’t know the Lord. How was that possible? Parents went to worship, while they let their kids stay home. When you let your children stay home from church, you let the enemy have them. You let the world have them. Joshua tried to set en example when he said: “Me and my house, we will serve the Lord!!” Not only me, but me AND my house.
Let the enemy know that you will bring your children with you to worship, and that he cant have them!
