A willing God

Matt 8:2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

The leper man had no doubt that Jesus was able to heal him. He was convinced of Jesus power to heal. It was Jesus willingness he was unsure of. He’s question was not if Jesus was able, but if Jesus was willing.
Most of us believe that Jesus can do anything and that nothing is impossible for him. It is his willingness we doubt. I believe every testimony I hear. I don’t doubt your experience or your miracle. I am just uncertain that God will do it for me.
Let me encourage you and tell you that my God is both able and willing. When Jesus met the woman at the well, he gaver her this testimony:
John 4 10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

If you really knew me, and you knew about the gift I want to give you, you would have asked, and I WOULD have given thee. The reason we don’t ask is because we really don’t know him. If we knew that in him there is YES and AMEN, we would have asked. And if we ask, we would receive. Why? Because he is a willing God.
