Sit together in heavenly places

John 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:


That we are made to sit WITH him in heavenly places, is a continuation of that we died WITH him in repentance, was buried WITH him in baptism, and resurrected WITH him by receiving the Holy Ghost. They that have died with him, buried with him, and resurrected with him, shall be made to sit also with him. And finally they that sit with him, shall also reign with him. If you want to sit with him, you must first die, be buried and be raised with him. If you want to reign with him, you must first sit with him. It’s a process that starts with taking up our cross, and ends with reigning with him.

But what does it mean to sit with him?  

1) That it's done. Jesus sat down to represent the job is done. It is finished. That we are sat with him, means there is nothing more for us to do. He did it for us.

2) He has sat down to rest. And that we are sat with him, means we have come into his rest.

3) Jesus sat down at the right hand of God, on his throne to represent that he has all POWER. That we sit with him, means that we have received his power. You shall receive POWER after the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

4) Jesus sat down at the throne to represent he has won the victory. That we are sat with him, means that we have been partakers of his victory. We are MORE than conquers through HIM....

5) The King sat down at his throne to receive glory and praise. That we are sat with him, means that we have been given part of his glory. Jesus said: Now glorify  THEM with the glory I had.....
