Sing O barren

Is 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

Being barren was one of the worst things than could happen to a woman in Bible days. Usually those women would feel guilt and shame, since they had “failed” their husband and their family. It was expected of them to give children to their spouse. We can read from some of the stories in the Bible how desperate those women were, and how big of a burden they were under. Yet, here God tells them to SING. Its hard to sing when you are under so much pressure, and carrying so big a burden.

Paul and Silas were in Jail, and started to sing. Maybe they were reminded of this scripture. To sing when all is against you, and everything else tries to push you down.
Is your situation difficult? Do you feel its unbearable? Are you carrying a big burden? Why don’t you sing? Worship and praise will bring changes. Sometimes right away, things around you will change, like with Paul and Silas. And some times it will only be you that are changed. Even if your circumstances remain the same, you are changed. So sing. Wipe the tears off, shake the heavy burden off, and sing a song of praise.
If you cant worship for healing, worship the healer. If you cant worship for the miracle, worship the miracle worker. If you cant worship for deliverance, worship the deliverer. Just SING !!!
