Two evil things

Jer 2:13For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

God wants to be the source of Joy in our life. The Bible talks about the Joy of the Lord. Joy comes from God. It flows from him. Anyone that have been filled with the Holy Ghost can verify that. God wants to be the source for our Love. Rom 9 says that the Holy Ghost has shed the love of God abroad in our hearts.  God wants to be the source for our peace. Jesus said, MY peace I give to you. Not as the world gives….

God says it an evil thing when we leave him as the source…. But yet another evil thing, when we replace that with another source. The world can never replace true joy. The Joy that the world gives is from a broken cistern. It doesn’t last. The peace the world has to offer is more than fragile. The Love in this world is so corrupted, and so shallow. It is all based on lust and selfishness. It doesn’t hold water.
Let us instead receive the invitation from Jesus in John 7:37. If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive…..

If you have not yet received this fountain of living water I recommend you do. Jesus said to the woman, that the one who drink from this fountain, wil NEVER thirst again.
