The evidence of faith

Heb 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

We know that faith is the evidence of the unseen. But what is the evidence of Faith?

If we were to investigate Faith, and to find proofs if a person had faith, what would we do? What would we look for? There are many that claim to have faith, and specially saving faith. Because the Bible says we are saved by grace through faith, obviously most people wants to claim that kind of faith. But how can I know if I have saving faith?
There are a lot of counterfeits in this world. That looks like the real things. But when you start investigate you find, its not the real thing. It can look like a real Rolex watch. Or look like a real Louis Vuittton purse. But its only a look alike. Even the Devil can make himself look like an angel of light the Bible says. The Bible also gives warnings about false Messiahs.
Do you have the real thing? Do you have real faith? Is your faith authentic? Is it the original faith?
The Roman church was famous for their faith. Paul says in Rom 1 “that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.”
The question then is this: What was the evidence for their faith? In chapter 16 and v 19 he states:
For your obedience is come abroad unto all men.” It was their obedience that was the evidence for their faith. James says faith without works (obedience) is dead. Its not really faith, is what he says. It’s a counterfeit. If I say this building is on fire, and you must leave it now, and all claims they believe me. It is really only those who leave the building that does.

Jesus says: They that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved. They that have real faith, which includes obedience, shall be saved.
