Rom 121I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The goal of presenting yourself as a living sacrifice, not being conformed to this world, and having your mind renewed is simply to find Gods will. The beginning of finding Gods will is to give up your will. That’s why you give yourself as a living sacrifice. You sacrifice your will in order to find Gods will.
Paul divide Gods will in three levels. The good, the acceptable and perfect will of God.
1) Good will of God. It is Gods will that we do good. This is the level of a servant. He does what is good. Well done you GOOD and faithful servant. Doing good is things like not steal, not cheat, being kind, being friendly etc etc. Things most people in the world would consider good.
2) Acceptable will of God. The Greek word means well pleasing. This is the next level. Not only doing what is good. But what pleases God. This is where people in the world not always understand. We do things, not only because its good, but because we know it pleases God. We pray. We fast. We give tithes and offerings. We are faithful to Gods house. We pursue Holiness. Because we want to please him. This is the level of a friend. As his friends we want to please him
3) Perfect will of God. Gods will and goal is to make us perfect. Eph 5:27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
This is how God describe the Church as his bride. This is the level that the world not only doesn’t understand, but also despises. They look on us as fanatics. Because we are in LOVE. When you have reached the level of a bride, when you are what you are, and do what you do because you are in LOVE, you have reached the PERFECT will of God.
