The danger of infection

Hey 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Today, because of the fear of the Covid-19 virus, people are super careful so they will not be infected. They carry antibac, they wash their hands, they try not to get too close with people, and when touching things outside, they try not tp touch their face, in fear to be infected with the virus. It is understandable since you never know where and when you can be infected.
I wonder if we could understand the danger of getting infected with sin, if we would not be more careful. Careful what we watch. Careful what we listen to. Careful where we go, and what kind of people we associate our self with. The Bible tells us that sin so easily beset us. It may be a little thought of doubt. It may be a small root of bitterness. It may be a little sprout of lust. It is so easy to get infected, going around in this world so full of sin everywhere.
Let us be careful, and always bring a bottle of “blood” with us. Always be ready to ask God to forgive us and to plead the blood.
One reason why we should be extra careful with covid-19 is because of the elderly and more fragile people among us. It may not be a danger to you, but it can be to your neighbor. Love your neighbor as your self. Even if some things are not a danger to you, doesn’t mean it cannot harm others. Don’t just claim your rights to do certain things that can be a trap and causing others to fail and sin. Let us stay far away from anything that can harm us, or those around us. Instead, set your eyes on Jesus. The author and finisher of our faith.
